After 19 hours of wonderful labor (the last hour or so didn't feel all that wonderful, but thankfully it was just that last hour) and only six minutes of pushing, Gemma Rose Garcia was born into the water and I lifted her out into the world!Gemma is a name we loved just because we loved it. Rose is for my Great Aunt Rose on my mom's side. She was a dear sweet lady who taught me how to crochet, made amazing galettes (cookies), and added to my precious childhood memories.
