We're moving to New Orleans in May! We have to be out of our apartment on April 30,  so we will stay with friends for a couple days after Aveny gets her 6mo shots/well check on May 1. (6 months!? When did this happen?) David will drive down with Max and Loxley that weekend. Aveny and I will fly down on the 5th... hoping no one buys the vacant seat next to us on the plane.

David is going to work with his dad and brother, and we're officially settling in. We have a contract on a house, and finally finally I have committed to changing the license plate on our car from Texas to Louisiana. I will also get a New Orleans phone number. This means we're serious, people. 

We will move Aveny to her own room and we'll have a yard to play in, parks nearby, and other fun things within walking distance! I guess we have all of those things in Chicago, but can only enjoy them 4 months out of the year. 

Packing is going well. We're selling a bunch of stuff on craigslist. Still need to get rid of a piano, mirrors, my down winter coat, and the kitchen island. Any takers? The POD will be here tomorrow, so we'll start loading boxes this weekend. 

Also, Aveny is getting dedicated to God in church this Sunday. We were supposed to do it on Mother's Day, but since we will be gone by then our Sunday school pastor has agreed to dedicate her at the end of our class this week. We're so excited about committing before our church family to raise and train her in the way of the Bible and God's wisdom.
