It seems we live in a tiny world when friends of ours in Jordan send us a book via amazon.com and it ends up on our doorstep with a little note from them printed on the invoice. It was a great unexpected suprise. I think everyone should send random gifts to friends half-way across the world every once in a while. Anyway, our friends' note said that this book was one of the most challenging he has ever read. It's already caused me to question my own subscription to Christianity, what it means to really follow Jesus and care for the poor and lowly of society, and social justice not only in my neighborhood, but for the world.
